Marble Park
Who is Marble Park?

   Charles Valentino - Vocals

Charles is a home-grown talent born in Columbus, Ohio. Charles was given a love for vintage R&B of the 60's and 70's as well as many other genre's of music at an early age by his late-mother who regularly played classics from her vast record collection. She herself coming from a musically active family, many of Charles's relatives are respected musicians playing locally including Nick Funk of Olde Cellar Band and Parker Quincel of Chicsa.

Charles is an experienced vocalist who has been singing in rock and roll bands for the last 10 years in Utah, Arizona, and Ohio. In 2007 he was the runner-up in "Pepsi's, Gimme the Mike! Columbus" narrowly falling short of the win by one point. Charles has been influenced by a diverse assortment of vocalists in both R&B and Rock & Roll including Marvin Gaye, Prince, Jay Kay, and Michael Hutchence. Most people who hear him belt out a tune for the first time respond by saying something along the lines of "I wasn't expecting THAT!"

Charles has a personal mission to spread funky music to the masses. "Funk is the perfect disease and the perfect medicine. It spreads throughout your whole body in seconds, and makes every part of it feel perfect. If you've got it, you can't help but give it to the person next to you."

  Nicki Baker - Backing vocals

Nicki is a third generation performer. She grew up on a tour bus with her family and has been singing since she could speak. It seems to be in her genetic makeup. She has played keys, percussion and sang with Columbus area bands such as Ephesians Prayer, Last Big Town and Jared Mahone.

“Life is too short not to sing and dance. Well, maybe not everyone should dance.”

Nicole Marie - Backing vocals
Nicole is a graduate of Cincinnati's School for Creative & Performing Arts, where she focused on jazz and pop vocals. Her knack for singing harmony has opened the door to many opportunities locally, internationally and on the west coast. She comes from a musical family whose members were always in some sort of band or theater group. She loves music of the 80's & 90's and is happy to be making music with Marble Park.

     Tony Stewart - Drums/Vocals

Raised in the streets of Michigan,
He could look out his door and see Motown
Bugs Bunny drumset next to his TV,
the little kid really could get down.

Watching Beatles cartoons - He didn't know they were real,
learned to smile while he played his drums
Many bands later and many years later,
He's still the man from where the beat comes.

He's played for many crowds both big and small
Rock, Soul, Gospel, and even Country ain't wrong
He once entertained Roger Troutman
He said "Man, your beat is strong!"

MJ once said to have a talent
and not use it is a sin
So he's using it for Marble Park
He's staked his claim - It's time to win!
